Complemeting BFI Southbank's season curated by ACMI (3-27 February 2023), this online programme highlights some of the most exciting, innovative and incisive new voices in Australian cinema, from the award-winning films of Justin Kurzel to First Nations artists such as Leah Purcell and Ivan Sen, whose works canvasses themes of memory, inheritance, and invasion.
Alongside this we present a selection of Australian classics from more established talents; enduring works that remain at the forefront of the country's cinema heritage.
