                    Overview

What does it mean to be British? What does it feel like to be told you don’t belong? This compelling and BAFTA-longlisted feature debut explores how the UK’s ‘hostile environment’ policies have affected four people from Black and Asian backgrounds. From archive footage and contemporary testimony we learn about the direct impact of these policies on everyday life. In particular we follow Daksha, a community organiser who runs her own kitchen to support vulnerable people.
