Horse-drawn traffic on one of London's busiest thoroughfares
Overview
These evocative, if somewhat timeworn images look to have been shot on the south side of Trafalgar Square, possibly Whitehall. The traffic may be horse-drawn, but it's not so much less frenetic than today's - and alarming, too, for the few bold pedestrians who dare to cross the flow.
The film was made by GA Smith for the Warwick Trading Company.
