Pleasure Steamers on a River
Victorians messing about on the river
Overview
When the weather is fine you know it's the time for messing about on the river. This film briefly glimpses well-to-do Victorians enjoying day out on boats. At first the camera seems to be poorly positioned, consigning a group of punters on a stationary boat to the corner of the frame. But patience is soon rewarded as two vessels pass theirs in full view of the camera. The exact location is unknown but is probably somewhere along the Thames.
