Girl with Green Eyes
Rita Tushingham plays the shy, naive girl who catches the eye of Peter Finch's middle-aged writer, in this effervescent adaptation of Edna O’Brien's best-selling novel.
Director: Desmond Davis
Overview
In Dublin, two shop assistants share a room. One (Rita Tushingham) is a quiet, rather naive girl, the other (Redgrave) is vivacious and ebullient with an eye for the boys. But when the two befriend a quiet, middle-aged writer (Finch), he makes a beeline for the shy, lonely Tushingham. Edna O’Brien adapts her own best-selling novel for the screen.
