        Overview

This film depicts a small countryside gymkhana in Coxwold. A sweeping panning shot of a field with cars and horses opens the film. There are numerous shots of horses successfully, and sometimes unsuccessfully, jumping over purpose-built jumps. A small crowd watches the action from nearby. After this activity has come to an end, there is a motorbike race and game of amateur cricket.

This film was made in the North Yorkshire village of Coxwold by Leeds filmmakers Betty and Cyril Ramsden. The couple made numerous films in Yorskhire from the 1940s-1960s.
