Overview
A horse box draws up, ponies are unloaded and children on a summer camp at Cae Ty’n Gronw, Pwllpriddog, Rhandirmwyn, are gently introduced to the animals and taught how to ride by an expert horseman. Other activities are also on offer: archery is one option and lines of canoes suggest learning to paddle is another. This campsite – catering for 80 children at a time - was run by policeman-turned-teacher, Steven Pugh-Jones, for Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire councils.
