Women Try to Stop Lorry Drivers Strike
Two picket lines face-off during the 'Winter of Discontent'.
From the collection of:
Overview
One side is a 'load of rabble' whilst the others are 'just plain stupid'. The insults fly as the women of Cadbury's tackle the men of the Transport and General Workers Union who are on picket line duty outside their factory. The cause is an on-going strike by lorry drivers over a pay claim, but the arguments run much deeper and are a reminder that women get less money for a day's work because they are only really working for 'pin money'!
