Watts Family Films: Daisy And Graham’s Wedding, Balham and Streatham (1966)
Footage of a 60s wedding in south London followed by the honeymoon on the beach in Barbados.
From the collection of:
Covering the 1966 wedding of Graham and Daisy Watts, this film shows guests outside the church – the Holy Ghost, Balham – and then the newly-weds getting mouthfuls of confetti afterwards. Next comes the reception at the Bali Hai nightclub in Streatham, from which there are some great interior shots. Then it moves on to the honeymoon, first in the swanky Royal Caribbean Hotel in Barbados followed by interesting shots of the island interior and wildlife.
