Overview

This charmingly silly film starts with a hand parting the curtains of a living room. In sneaks a masked burglar with his swag-bag but the family, all of whom are glued to the telly, don't seem to notice. While he fills his bag with valuables, the family remains intent on watching the news with Andrew Gardner. Plates of snacks are passed around which the intruder also enjoys before he gets up too close to the young woman on the sofa. Only then does she let out a piercing scream.

Established in 1959, the Woking Cine Club devised and produced a number of amateur fiction and non-fiction films from the 1960s to the 1990s. In 1984 the club changed its name to Woking Film Makers, with a mission to encourage film production as a hobby and to further the knowledge and skills of its members. Besides documentary films and instructional films, the group produced numerous fiction films, often with darkly comic themes.
