The Box is a major cultural and heritage attraction and archive, which opened in Plymouth’s city centre in September 2020. Its collection, formally the South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA), is the regional film archive for the South West of England, comprising the combined programme libraries of Westward Television and Television South West (TSW). It also includes a significant number of donated film collections dating back to the early 1890s.

Moyra Babington is a judge at this Torquay international Gastronomic Festival in 1977 with Westward John Doyle reporting. The gastronomic event showcases local produce and international cuisine. There are live demonstrations, cookery theatre and arts’ and craft stalls. A mention is made about the rocketing price of food and the backdrop is the great Inflation of the 1970s. Torquay is part of the English Riviera and this festival draws a large audience.
Moyra is Westward TV’s cookery expert and joined in 1962 to host ‘West Country Cooking’.
