The Way to the West
Hitchcock went the wrong way! Head south by southwest with this travelogue from Bath to Cornwall.
Overview
Where are the cowboys? Britain’s Old West is a little different. From the pump rooms and pageantry of Bath this beautifully-shot film meanders southwest through the Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Dartmoor towards Devon and Cornwall. It was the first of the series Travelling Around, which did just that, capturing some delightful portraits of people and places on the way. It’s a filmic postcard sponsored by the Travel and Industrial Development Association.
