The Thirteenth Instant
One fateful Friday 13th, a man rubs a gold ring and turns into a chimpanzee...so he has a look around Dublin and Chessington Zoos.
Overview
This cheerful, charming and very silly vintage animal short will whisk you around the zoological parks of yesteryear. When a superstitious man is magically transformed into a chimpanzee on Friday 13th, he observes the animal antics going on at Dublin Zoo and Chessington Zoo, before deciding that he's quite happy to live out his life as an ape.
Shot on location at Dublin Zoo and Chessington Zoo, and showcasing various exotic animals, the film also features footage of noted German animal trainer Hans Brick. He's seen here performing a restaurant routine with Annie the elephant.
