Overview

Told via stills photography, graphics and a jazz-synth soundtrack, this films looks at the power and responsibilities of the GLC, from the construction of the Thames Barrier to the erection of blue plaques. The film also looks at the future of London, with discussion of the impending Docklands redevelopment, housing and the educational needs of children. Useful and informative, but also somewhat poignant given the fact the GLC would soon be dissolved.
