At Wessex Film and Sound Archive you can see and hear history, from late Victorian times to the present day, through moving images and sound recordings. The Archive contains over 36,000 film and sound recordings relating to Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, including film and tapes of local TV and radio.

Overview
The streets of Portsmouth are seen bedecked in bunting, flags and posters of Charles and Diana.Children in a wide variery of fancy dress, emerge from their homes and gather in the street. We see the children and their parents chatting with the compere of the fancy dress competition. Many of the children are dressed in imaginative and contemporary costumes, like a Rubik's cube. The children are then seated at a long table where cakes and ice-creams are served.
