Stars of the London stage are out in force for a glamorous fundraising do at Regent's Park. In aid of the Actors' Orphanage Fund - a charity which housed children of deceased actors and actresses - this annual event invited finely-feathered donors to rub shoulders with theatrical and music hall personalities like George Grossmith, just one of the "well-known Artistes" advertised here.
Pathe was one of several newsreel companies to capture the celebrity 'do-gooding' on film: see also Topical Budget's Theatrical Garden Party in Regent's Park (1914).
