        Overview

This fascinating colour film shows the Southdowns Foxhounds gathering for a various hunts soon after the end of the war. Riders on horseback, some wearing traditional hunting garb with others dressed in tweeds, assemble at various locations, accompanied by their hounds. Everyone waits for the hunt to begin. Many of the gatherings take place in front of pubs, one of which can be identified as the now disused Kings Arms at Albourne.
