Overview
Lord Willingdon - then Viceroy of India - is seen with his wife at a picnic in this amateur footage, which shows the races in the Himalayan hill town of Shillong, along with a golf match, and market scenes. Keep your eyes peeled for an unintentionally hilarious moment in which a golfer loses her balance. Shillong is the hill station and capital of Meghalaya, the 'abode of clouds'.
