Overview

This local newsreel was said to have been screened at the Regent cinema in Prince of Wales Road, Norwich soon after the show in mid summer. The presence of royalty would have been a real crowd puller and attracted crowds county wide. Organised by the Norfolk Agricultural Assocation, the Royal Norfolk Show was an opportunity for celebration and recognition

With the exception of a few years, the Norfolk Show had been held every year since 1847 and was granted the right to use the prefix 'Royal' by Edward VII in 1907.
