        Overview

A village bus shelter that's "so spotless you could eat your breakfast off it". With that in mind it's perhaps not surprising that Jean Hollis who does the cleaning at Knowbury in Shropshire has been given a pay rise. However, 66% at a time of national recession is an opportunity for reporter John Swallow to deliver the news with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek. Just don't tell British Leyland (even if the increase does only bring Jean up to 38p a week!).
