Old People's Film, Barking & Dagenham (1961)
A cockney singalong and a geriatric tapdancer is followed by a few swift halves in the local on this day out for some of Barking’s elderly residents.
From the collection of:

Overview
An audience of elderly people get into the spirit of things, as they sing along with a Pearly King, one of many turns at what appears to be a music hall-style talent show. Hats off also to a remarkably spritely tap dancer. The audience then depart by coach to a local pub, where they have something to eat, drink and smoke –one woman poses by the bar, looking less than thrilled with her sarnie. It’s unclear where this was filmed, but the audience probably came from Dagenham.
