        Overview

For thousands of young people in the countryside, the Young Farmers' Clubs were the centre of their social life and the Annual Rally was a chance to come together and pitch their wits against each other. As well as a popular social event, it was a focus on farming as a profession too and aspiring farmers and stockmen were tested to judge beef and dairy cattle, pigs, sheep as well has their ability to toss a bale!

Held at the County Showground in Costessey just outside Norwich fun was the main order of the day with tremendous effort made by both sexes to take part in the fancy dress, mannequin parades and all manner of silly games.
