Overview
On the first Thursday in June, the ladies of the Neston Female Friendly Society walk through the streets of this small Cheshire town, carrying on a tradition dating back to 1814, and one which still continues to this day. Their fine dresses, hats, and floral accessories give the occasion a grand air of pageantry, even though some of the more junior onlookers can't resist playing up to the camera.
