Overview

The Nefyn pharmacist, Robin Jones [officially Robert J Jones] films his community – including a woman in a horse-drawn carriage and an al fresco violin or viola player – and has a bit of sport with what a pharmacy can do for those at death’s door! He also joins golfers at the Morfa Nefyn golf course, including his nephew John Glyn Jones (from Nefyn, he became a GP in Brynsiencyn) who inherited his film-making equipment and continued filming community - and family - events.

Robin Jones is seen playing golf himself, appearing in the last few minutes, wearing a pale blouson jacket, pale shirt and striped tie and a dark jumper. He was probably filmed by his nephew who wears a beret. John Glyn Jones’ father, Evan Jones, a sea captain, is also present, wearing a trilby hat. John played the viola and had thought of pursuing it as a career. It may be that the violin or viola player seen on this reel was his teacher.
