Colonel Crock and his motorised pals stage some snowy races in this charming puppet series from the earliest days of ITV.
Overview
A short featuring Colonel Crock, a car who lives in the village of Much Winding with his motorised friends and a human mechanic, Mr Maggs (played by Edward Andrewes). Andrewes and the Colonel had previously appeared on the BBC as part of the children’s magazine series Whirligig. Crock was one of several puppet characters created for television by Annette Mills, the most famous of which was Muffin the Mule. Colonel Crock became one of the first BBC stars to switch to ITV when it began in 1955.
