Overview
This demonstration brings to a halt the M41 in Shepherd's, one of Britain's shortest motorways. Reclaim the Streets was and still is a collective that fundamentally opposes corporate influences on society and particularly sees the automobile as having a detrimental impact on society. As evidenced in the film, RTS demos were a mix of party and protest, a carnivalesque atmosphere which took heavy influences from the counter culture rave scene.
