Overview

Carmarthenshire farm, Llandre, at Cwrtycadno, is the scene of the breaking-in of a foal, rams taking chances over feed in a bucket that a horse is unwilling to share, the dipping of sheep, playful lambs in the spring, and a sheepdog’s heroic rescue of his ball from deep snow.

Glyn and Doris Davies of Llandre are seen breaking in a foal, assisted by David Tom Evans who worked on the farm. Glyn is also seen dipping sheep with his cousin Dai Davies of Ynysau farm and neighbour Dewi Edwards of Maesmoi farm. Llandre is now part of the National Trust’s Dolaucothi estate and is run by Glyn and Doris’s son Huw.
