Hand in Glove
Four village schoolchildren encounter a spot of trouble when some crooks take up residence in the woods.
Overview
From prolific author and screenwriter Mary Cathcart Borer, Hand in Glove is a children’s adventure with an Enid Blyton-esque sensibility. Four school pals plan to sneak away to poach some fish but it’s not long before they're thwarted by an enemy from school - and the police! A stolen cake, some robbers and stink bombs add to the fun. This programme from the earliest days of British commercial television was shown on ITV during their first week of broadcasting in September 1955.
