Overview
Derek Sewell's life changed when he lost the use of his legs after an accident while working at Birch Coppice Colliery at Dordon in North Warwickshire. More than twenty years later he is incredibly positive about everything he's gone through. The National Coal Board was supportive, his wheelchair-handling skills are excellent and his life is now dedicated to raising money to give people who have mobility issues the opportunity to get out and about.
