        Overview

A record of a carnival held at Lower Penn near Wolverhampton in, we think, 1954. The filmmaker, George Dawson, was the managing director of M. R. Warner and Sons Ltd, a Wolverhampton based film production company that produced many 16mm industrial films for local firms. Mr Dawson sticks to 8mm for his own film producing, a much more homespun record of proceedings. Look out for a little Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men in the fancy dress competition towards the end of the reel.
