Overview

It was the impressive agricultural machines on display at the 1964 Northumberland County Show that caught the eye of Jack Lawson, a confectionary manufacturer and director of Newcastle United Football Club. Meanwhile, elsewhere at the show at Tynedale Park in Corbridge, a farmer rode his pedigree bull William through blazing hoops and over fences for an appreciative crowd, sadly not recorded in this amateur film.
