Overview
The idea that anything is edible if you spread enough butter on it is stretched to breaking point in this TV advert sponsored by the Butter Information Council. What else would make boiled onions "vanish down hungry throats"? An international organisation which worked across Northern Europe and even New Zealand, the Butter Information Council was funded in the UK by the Milk Marketing Board and used a variety of media to give generic PR for all butter brands.
