Experience life in a West Sussex village on the eve of WWII in this picture-perfect amateur film by Rev CW Lyne
Overview
These picture-perfect home movies by the Rev CW Lyne bring to the screen a year in the life of the village of Burpham, West Sussex. From haymaking, harvesting and cricket on the green to gathering holly and fattening the turkeys for Christmas, this wonderful amateur film lovingly captures it all. Made on the eve of WWII, the Reverend even catches gas mask fittings and evacuees arriving - but the parishioners keep their chins up. There's even time for cultivating flowering cacti!
