Overview

Residents living in council blocks on Alfred Road at Bloxwich are counting the days until the council knock their homes down. Less than twenty years old, the blocks, described as 'pigeon lofts' by one tenant, face demolition. Council cleaner Gillian Smith won't miss them and neither will the other residents who have to contend with bringing 'their ashes, peelings and prams' down the tricky stairs leaving them in a 'really bad condition'.
