        Overview

An award winning amateur film about a priest, dressed in cassock and biretta, and his parish, with picturesque views of the village of Birling and its inhabitants. We see houses old and new as well as shops and signs and remarkably few cars. We visit the blacksmith at the forge and witness various church services in progress. There is a little local history thrown in as well as scenes from Birling Fair. The film ends with a wedding.
