Overview
These films, taken by Bexley’s Victor Ashlee and part of the Ashlee Family Films collection, feature the early years of eldest child, Christine. One features a trip to pigeon-saturated central London to see a royal parade, while others show her opening birthday presents, scoffing cake, on a boating holiday and taking her first steps – as well as tumbling dramatically while attempting to steer a new trolley. Most come from the family home in Barnehurst.
