Wielding a trowel with diligence, a toddler tends to her garden on the London-Kent border in the late 1950s in this short home movie.
Filmed by Victor Ashlee and now part of Bexley’s Ashlee Family Films collection, this grainy black-and-white shows toddler Christine, the Ashlee’s first born, feeding, bathing and helping round the house and garden. She’s very handy with a hoover and then has a fun old time filling her wooden trolley with soil in the back garden.
