Allotments and Erith Streets
A beautiful sunny day to be on the allotment in Bexley, surrounded by home made greenhouses stuffed full of plants and vegetables
From the collection of:

Overview
Nestled at the foot of the surrounding concrete tower blocks are Bexley allotments. Whilst there aren't many people there, signs of activity and dedication are everywhere. Plots are full of growing vegetables, home-made greenhouses are stuffed to bursting and a trellis is heaving with squashes. A couple of smartly dressed older gentlemen are tending to their crops before proudly displaying their crops - including a decidedly non-standardised curved cucumber.
