A summer holiday and an old folk tale bring two 11-year-olds together as they explore what, or who, is calling to them, from within an abandoned mine.
When 11-year-old Evie arrives in Cornwall she’s excited for a holiday with her mum, Yvonne, but finds herself playing third wheel when “family friend” Tony joins them. After befriending local boy Adam, the pair explore a decommissioned mine and what they discover changes everything. As they question areas of their lives, childhood narratives unravel and darker truths of the adult world seep in.
