Based on the true story of Paul Connolly (played by Michael Socha, This is England), who is forced to confront his traumatic years at an abusive children’s home when detectives come knocking.

As a two-week-old baby, Paul Connolly was left abandoned in a dustbin and later sent to a children’s home in Essex. Enduring years of abuse growing up, his story is examined in Steve Crowhurst’s harrowing crime drama. Socha plays Connolly as an adult struggling to cope with his memories and news of his childhood friend’s suicide, while newcomer Mitchell Norman gives a moving performance as the young boy he was.
