Overview
Simone falls asleep at the wheel and drives her car off the road. She walks away from the accident relatively unscathed, yet the event plunges her into an existential crisis that she attempts to solve by having a baby with her best friend, Philippe... who’s secretly in love with her. Villeneuve’s joyful debut whizzes by with a youthful energy, revealing a director at the very beginning of his journey, yet it’s infused with his distinctive striking visuals and grand landscapes – an indication of what’s to come.
