Paul Newman and Julie Andrews star in Hitchcock’s spy thriller, as the husband and wife team who publicly pretend to defect to East Germany while shepherding a secret formula out of the country.
Now best known as the film over which Hitchcock and composer Bernard Herrmann severed their successful partnership, Torn Curtain still has much to admire including a famous scene featuring a memorably vicious fight to death.
