The Boot
Sameneh pesters her mother for a pair of red boots, only to lose one and then undertake a desperate search for it.
Director: Mohammad-Ali Talebi
Overview
Sameneh pesters her mother for a pair of red boots, only to lose one and then undertake a desperate search for it. Director Mohammad-Ali Talebi (Bag of Rice, Willow and Wind) is a master at crafting deceptively simple tales that result in a substantial emotional pull; all-too-identifiable quests for basic pleasures and needs that bring to mind classics like Bicycle Thieves. At 60 minutes, The Boot is a wonderful introduction to his world.
