Overview
This BAFTA-winning short costume drama, based on a story by Scottish writer George Mackay Brown, paints a vivid picture of 19th century life on Orkney. Against a landscape unchanged since then, the wedding rituals of tenant farmers are enacted, showing the power held by the laird, played by Brian Cox.
