This inspiring documentary explores the birth and rise of techno music through the eyes of one of its pioneers: acclaimed French DJ Laurent Garnier. Through previously unseen archive images, footage of Garnier’s recent world tour and interviews with trailblazers such as Carl Cox and Jeff Mills, the film reveals a remarkably intimate portrait of a man who followed his passion against all odds, and eventually helped create a musical, social and political revolution. From Manchester to Tbilisi, and Detroit to Tokyo, the film takes us on a journey across the globe and celebrates the ineffable collective and collaborative music experience.
