              Overview

This Depression-era story about four showgirls is an extraordinary mix of Busby Berkeley dance numbers, politics and pre-Code sex. A coin-covered Ginger Rogers advises ‘We’re in the Money’, but it’s the spectacular ‘Remember My Forgotten Man’ that’s the main event, with heart-rending performances from Joan Blondell and Etta Moten protesting against the injustices endured by WWI veterans.
