Overview

Starring Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney, Girl Crazy becomes a 'let's put on a rodeo, right here' musical but to great effect. Garland gives superlative renditions of 'Embraceable You', 'Bidin' My Time' and 'But Not For Me' and never looked more beguiling. Busby Berkeley was dismissed as director of the film after a minor disagreement but his staging of 'I Got Rhythm' remains.
