Overview
Essex and England all-rounder Trevor Bailey is joined by Peter May to demonstrate the dos and don'ts of back foot defence and attack strokes for young cricketers. Clearly more comfortable on the cricket pitch than in front of the camera, Bailey nonetheless offers some useful pointers for aspiring players. He also repeatedly cautions youngsters to avoid playing the 'French way' - that's only for the beach!
The Cricket with Trevor Bailey films were part of production company Associated-Rediffusion's Sportspot programme in 1956. This instalment was filmed at Filmed at Romford Indoor Cricket School in Essex.
