This error appears when something in your browser, device or network is blocking films from playing.
Make sure that:
- your browser is up to date
- you're not in private or incognito mode
- pop-up or ad-blockers (like DuckDuck Go) are disabled
- you're not on a virtual private networks (VPN)
If none of the above resolves the issue, try watching on an alternative browser.
If you're still unable to watch, this might mean there is additional software such as anti-virus software preventing playback. If this is the case, please deactivate and try again.
If you’re watching on a work or university device or network, you may need to speak to your IT team.
This error will also appear if you’re trying to watch BFI Player outside the UK. The films on player.bfi.org.uk are only licensed to be watched in the UK. See our About page for other countries where BFI Player is available.
