After feeling isolated at school, things seem to change for Alberte when she is given the latest android companion; but is it right to feel such a deep connection with a robot?

In the near future, everyone has their own humanoid robot assistant. Except for Alberte, who is stuck with her old-style cuddly toy model. It’s loyal but seriously uncool. But then Alberte’s parents use a connection to get her Konrad, a new upgraded model. Overnight, Alberte becomes the talk of the town, with fellow students both impressed and – in some cases – more than a little jealous of her new companion. Before long, Alberte feels a deep connection with her robot brother, but her happiness is short lived when she discovers a shocking secret.
